Aight all-
I have totally finished all wood framing and have put fiberglass on all the exterior edges of the tank (vey solid build). I am considering laying fiberglass throuhgout the whole interior of the tank and using polyester resin (cheaper) to lay the matting. I have tons of experience fiberglassing, but want to know....

will the polyester resin be fish safe or will I end up with a ton of dead fish on my hands due to the resin?
Do I need to simply order the two part epoxy and use that instead.
Please post if you have had direct experience related to any of these questions, it would be greatly appreciated.

fyi - I plan to paint pond armor over the fiberglass to coat the entire inside of the tank.

pics to come in later build post.

The resin in fiber glass will be safe as long as you allow time for it to off-gas. Also, since you are putting Pond Sheild on it afterwards, you will be more tha OK. Go and get started on this so I can see some pictures.

Just ordered some west sytem epoxy. I am going to put matting in the corner seams and anywhere wood meets and then epoxy the remaining inside tank surfaces.
I have posted pics up already with the frame portion............
It is titled new build 300 gallon plywood tank.
I will continue posting as I go.
