My husband is really into his shark. He has a spotted bamboo. I saw a puff daddy shy shark for sale and want to get it for him. It will be our one year anniversary. I take care of the nano reef and he takes care of the shark. I don't know much about sharks.

Will the spotted bamboo and puff daddy shark be compatible?

Will my husband like the shark,

Does it go by a different name? Couldn't find much on the puff daddy shy shark?

Does it look like this? If you husband doesn't like the shark I will take it off your hands.

Must mean the PuffADDER shy shark (Haploblepharus edwardsii). If so, they are a cold water shark, and won't live well in tropical temps like the white spotted bamboo has.

Yes that is the shark in the picture. It is suck a pretty shark to bad it can't live with the spotted bamboo. The store also had a grey shark which is ugly, a banded wobgong which is cute and a pajama catshark which is elegant looking. Will any of them work?

Any advice? I know this this is mostly freshwater people but I am sure someone knows about salt. I can't ask on the saltwater forums because my husband is on most of them. I only have 2 weeks until our anniversary.

Zoo diver probably is your best bet to ask maybe PM him

I hear he makes stuff up. I wouldn't trust him.

PJ cats are also a shark that prefer cooler water. If it's really a grey bamboo, it would be a good match. They are fairly rare. Wobbies get big and will pretty much eat (or try to eat) anything that swims in front of them. Good by themselves, but not with mixed species.

Check out the shark/ray section, you might find more help here:

The Puffdaddy shark was just to cute so I had to get it for my hubby. Since the Puffdaddy shark and pajama shark live together in the wild I got the pajama shark to keep puffdaddy happy. Here are some pictures.

I hope you have a plan. These are cool water sharks that won't live long when kept at tropical temps, and the PJ (Pyjama is Poroderma africanum) will get four feet long or so.

And it's a puffADDER shark, not a puffDADDY. Starting with the right name helps. ;)
