Listen I know.....I know.....but I am a tattoo artist and a piercer..... it's not like you never went fishing and took a hook out of a fishes mouth. Well, I pierced my fish and got them labret spikes. It is made out of 4 40 surgical stainless steel. My oscars dont seem to mind and ate 30 minutes after I pierced them! I used melafix, frequent water changes and a dash of salt to help heal them. It has been over a month and they are the same as they ever were! Here's the video footage of my fishy'z 30 minutes after getting pieced, eating freeze dried shrimp and pellets.

umm... interesting? Wouldnt that kinda get in the fish's way if it wanted to get through tunnels and stuff? Or lay on the ground?

I think the reason why they dont mind is because they have no choice.... hehe

Myself, I'm into tattoos, not really into piercings. I would never buy a tattooed fish.

I would never pierce one of my animals. That satisfies something in you (not sure what) but satisfies nothing for your animal. It's not like they make the personal lifestyle decision to have hardware in their mouth.

Anyway, no ill will or anything, I just don't agree 100%

I thought about that, the whole poking of the eye thing......but then I thought about how sharp their fins were and also about all the things most fish live around in the ocean like coral that will slice you up being that I'm in hawaii and know first hand. Anyhow, my fish seem to be aware of where their new additions are and have been fine. They didnt even try to rub against the grave with them to take tham out. I guess hey what the heck!

I know it's gunna make some people chapped. I'm not trying to piss people off. I love my fish and also respect what you have to say.........If it was really bugging my fish I would take it off right away....but them really dont seem to mind and also ate right after.......Sorry to some of you people out there....I knew this would start some contraversy, but hey...
