I am trying to plan for a tank upgrade in the near future. Are there are any quick dry silicones that will allow me to affix my 3d background to the new tank and obviously be fish safe.

Generally speaking superglue is used for those applications. I've watched guys splooge a bit onto a coral and then dip it directly into the water and stick that coral to something else. I don't know enough about it to say if there are specific types for that use but I've seen it done in very sensitive environments and know there is a variant of cyanoacrylic glues that do exactly what you're hoping.

Truth be told I'd have a tough time recommending SCS1200 for any aquarium application. I've no doubt someone uses it and likes it but as for me, I hate it.

I have superglued corals in my salt. Was worried it might not be strong enough to hold my background. It is fairly heavy but thinking about it more that may be the way to go

I just used this aquarium safe silicone to secure the 3d background in my 750gal tank. It took 24 hours to dry and I gave it 10 days to cure before filling with water.

Unfortunately I will not have a week. Will need something that will be ready same day. Anyone ever use this product? Seems like it is silicone for aquariums and rapid set.

I’ve used JB Waterweld several times underwater with zero effects on the fish. It gives you enough time to work with it but cures rapidly and sets up rock hard. Have used it to set coral plugs, hold live rock, and seal leaks in my pond.

It’s certified by NSF as drinking water safe so should be non-toxic to fish.

I looked at this and I didn't see anything which would make it cure quicker than any other aquarium safe silicone. I also read the product reviews here and some of the reviewers noted that it isn't any different from other 100% silicone products. Needless to say, if that is true then it will take a good bit of time to cure.
