I did a google search on this fish also and it is so interesting but does not grow big, not sure if this one can be in with an oscar? If this fish grew bigger it would be much more intereting.

I think a raphael would be just fine with an Oscar since they are armor plated. They can get pretty large too. Here's a 9 incher I had a while ago:

I have one in with my oscar and I never really see him. I usually forget he's in there until I am cleaning the tank and move him out of his spot.

Dang Optimist, nice! I did not know they got that big.

As JD_MAN eluded to, they are quite boring fish if they have anywhere to hide. I had one for a while, and the only time I ever saw it was when I removed everything from the tank for a thorough cleaning.

Angler, I would like to see pics or movies of your red hooks, I have an interest in these fish.

That's a nice fish. I like them, but don't want another hiding catfish.

Raphaels are awesome, Will definately go well with an oscar as long as its not tiny tiny... These fish are very hardy, I have a striped annd spotted with my ARTC and they dont get bothered... its only a matter of time before that will change.

I am definately wondering what the growth rate is on raphaels, I wish mine was 9" long! they have a long lifespan, which is great
