This is an ultra rare opportunity to own Aquatic Caecilian species Typhlonectes compressicauda. These are the only ones available in the US for almost 15-20 years. These are super neat animals who live 15-20 years and give live birth. They are fairly simple to keep so long as your tank is escape proof.

$500! Wow. Used to keep these when I was a kid $30 tops at that time. Agree on the tank needing to be escape proof even more so then with ropefish. Couple times I found one of mine in the hob, knocked off the strainer on the intake and climbed up. Alive but a little worse for wear. Super cool animals though.
 
understandable, they were readily available and smuggled during that time, but the lacey and cites rules and regulations has prevented any legal specimines from coming into the US for 15-20 years, these are all from a captive bred colony, one of the only T. compressicauda breeders left in the country, making them near impossible to get, they usually only average around 3 babies a year.

Hello, Do you only have 3? I have never seen these guys at these prices before. May i ask what you are using as a bases for your prices? I am looking for some of these guys atm though. Beautiful animals. If you have more i am interested, and i am in FL. I cant seem to message you (new to forum) so feel free to message me.
