Ray tank mates???

So I have a 6"-7" Motoro female and my buddy is selling a 13" Motoro male would that Male kill my female or will she be alright together?

My lfs has rays from males to females about 6 of them and they all do fine. They sell the females pretty fast since they're usually bigger
