Hey everyone, I just bought this guy from a LFS. Was labeled as a RD but obviously that doesn’t mean much. Can anyone tell me whether it appears to be a RD or a Midas? Or is it to young yet?? I realize most are hybrids these days anyway but his snout IS pretty elongated with more of a “V” shaped mouth. I bought it hoping for a Midas but thought I’d ask you pros what you thought.

Thanks in advance.

read the link, no one can tell you definitively what your fish is just by looking at it.

It's most likely a hybrid but as I always say when this question comes up, if you like the fish and aren't planning on breeding it professionally then what does it matter?
It's a nice fish and you obviously liked it enough to buy it so just enjoy it and take good, care of it.
