Some friends (Terry and Cheryl) invited me to take a ride with them, to a restaurant about an hour and half away, on Lake Arenoso a part of the Panama Canal, connected to Lake Gatun, known for serving Peacock Bass (their favorite fresh water fish to eat). It is on the western shores of the canal, an area I have not been to before, and they said the restaurant is in a picturesque area and had access to dock, where I might be able to cast my throw net.
Not seeing anything near shore, and short on time, I didn't do any net castting, but we made some in roads into charting a boat for when there was more time.
The lake is known for Peacck bass and Robalo (Dicentrarchus labrax(AKA snook), above)
