Red Maggot as Arowana food

Does anyone feed their arowana Red Maggot and if yes is it good for the health and growth of the fish and does it improve coloration? is it good as a staple diet for an asian arowana?

Looks extremely fatty, I would use as a treat only and not a staple. I'm sure you could get cheaper insect larvae that does not target arowana, I assume that drives the price up a lot!

Looks like meal worms. Get live ones and feed them carrots and sweet potato before feeding them to the arowana.

It is probably impossible to say exactly which larvae they are just from that picture . But if I had to guess I would say they are balck soldier fly larvae.

Back to the topic. They are too fatty for a staple food as Hendre already said.

Regardless there's a better way. Insects are an arowana staple, I dont think the fat content is that much of a worry with fish that typically eat insects.
I don't think black soldier fly larvae are that fatty either.

Black soldier fly larvae (bsl) are amazing food and i am confused as to why they aren’t so popular as foods.
