Oh dear oh dear oh dear. I know of a red tailed catfish that is on the naughty step for quite a while by the sounds of it. They do have a big mouth, even as really small juveniles. Expensive lesson.

Seems like a very likely scenario to me, unless the tank is about 8ft tall, enough to keep the arowana far above the cat.

Lesson learned, I suppose I’d rather have the RTC eat it than die.... unless it was of old age ...

I like the RTC , not enough for him to have is own 8’ tank though....

Been there done that. I lost an 20cm jag to and 55cm rtc once.
