Please Help. How do I remove this White Haze on the Glass? I have tried the following with No success:
Razor Blade, Vinegar (I have layed tank down and poured it on to cover glass and let stand for a while, have even poured the vinegar on a rag and soaked the rag in spots), I have used CLR, I have used Lime Away, I have used Magic Erasers, Scrubbies........And still no success! After the tank is dry this white Haze appears again. I understand when the tank is filled, you do not see the stains. However some stains are still very visible.....Does anybody have any other ideas??????? I read someone said to fill the tank up and mix OXI-CLEAN in the water and let it sit, they said that worked but I have not tried it yet.

Looks like the glass is etched.Over time deposits can actually damage the glass. If thats the case there isnt anything you can do about it.

youve already done everything else I wouldve done the only advice I could give you is use the clearer side for the front take the crappy side and paint it good luck

My 280g is the same way. Did everything you did and it still is not clear. Bought mine used about 8 years ago from a guy that had it set up when i bought it. Had him move it for me to my storage and when I set it up a year later it was very foggy. Looking for a new one now but they are pricey.

Yeah that is a large tank. I had a 72 gallon tank(pics in my profile) but I sold it because it was just the time to do so. The fiance and I had our child so that was more important. Then like last week her dad gives me a free 55 galllon tank and metal standthat he got from a friend. I had to do a bit of work to the stand grinding and painting but it's a project more then anything. I just can't get outta the hobby, I love it so much.

LoL. How do people not laugh from some of these ideas. lol Tooth paste. lol. Someone posted oxiclean and let the tank sit for a few days. I just dont wanna spend 8 bucks for oxiclean and it not work. BUT....I do have tooth paste and an orbital buffer. lol Hell..Why not give it a try...right...

Do not know the power of toothpaste. It is a on hand alternative to very expensive polishing compound. I suggest you try it out, it works very well. Try it out on your foggy head lights. Ask a glass shop if necessary to see if they can add resin to scratches.

Try glass polishing oxide
