Hey Guys,

Curious on what kinds of lizards, snakes or tortoises would live in a 3 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot wooden cage. I would prefer a species that tolerates handling.

I enjoy savannah monitors but don't know how long can an average hatchling live in this size enclosure.

Any ideas?

3x2x2 isn't all that big, I can't think of a "hands on" lizard that would really fit in there. If you're interested in a snake then you've got some choices; kings, milks, corns, rats, pines, gophers, bulls. Or maybe a ball python.

they look aggressive, guessing if you get any reptile young and captive bred....better chance for a docile temperament. I've been reading some reptile magazines, it's says that rosy boas are very docile even in the wild. Corn snakes were the first snakes to get domesticated.....I never had experience with snakes, but I had a savannah monitor who was very very docile, even on his walks outside.
