Bought this Rheoheros through my local fish store about a month ago, was labeled as a Theraps lentiginosus
but has a pinkish hue to it which some coeruleus develop but not sure. Any suggestions or sexing advice here?

That's a lent,a female I would say.
Quite a delicate c/a cichlid. They like a lot of flow in the tank,do best in cool well oxygenated water. They also like to be kept in groups.
Nice fish and quite uncommon in the hobby.
Females show a blue dorsal blotch.

Thanks for the input, I would definitely like to have a pair if a male of similar size if one shows up. It seems to be doing well with a group of SA cichlids and a Firemouth so far, although it would probably prefer a group of it's own kind.

I agree with Stanzzz7, looks very much like a female R lentiginosus, very similar to the ones I had.
Below, a dominant male, they like lots of current to stay healthy (hence the name Rheoheros).
Nice!!! Mines about 3" right now, how big were yours?

The alpha male was a little over 5", the other 6 between 3"-4".
When I first got them from Wet Spot they were all only around an inch.

they love mosquito larvae, and gammarus shrimp.
