I found 2 Satanoperca without spot mixed between S. demon in LFS.I have third very similar looking fish from friend, who bought it as S. demon. I am looking forward to find more these fish mixed between S. demon. They are 13cm long (5inch). I am not sure about ID, maybe Satanoperca cf. leucosticta?

They are Satanoperca mapiritensis. The lack of barring under the dorsal, facial spotting and body shape are all characteristics of S. mapiritensis. I have a school if x8 wild S. mapiritensis currently growing out right now. Wonderful fish and very peaceful.
