I did my own research. Took me only a few hours thanks to google. Seachem Prime isn't based on sodium thiosulfate like so many people claim. Their website is vague about what the actual ingredient is, which are complexed hydrosulfite salts. Google searches reveal it is also know as sodium dithionite. It's simply another reducing agent. However, in water, it decomposes into thiosulfates and bisulfites. If you want references you can google it. I attached a screenshot of something I found, too. Why would Seachem say this is "proprietary" when it's clearly not?Screenshot_20200804-235036.png

sodium dithionite alone is a dangerous chemical to be handling.

Storage class: 4.2

Its self heating from my understanding flammable.

Not a stable thing to be handling for any hobbyist without a permit (im guessing from the storage class rating) so guessing they did something to blend it in to make it safe and shelf stable? Hence it being a special house formula for them? ?‍♀️

Let me know if there is something I am missing out on. Some homemade formula?
