Hello again MFK ,

After yesterday's incidents i decided to go to community setup. I decided to go with Severums. I found a pair 2 years old for my 250g. Count that Severums are about 9 inches. I was wondering if i can add a pacu ( yes i know all the requirments and i am building a pool with dwarf caimans etc) and some more fish from South America (Amazon) like Tigrinus , Black Arowana and some oscars. I read many articles but i don't want to go full peaceful setup. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance

All in a 250?!
I would see the sevs becoming far outcompeted and eventually becoming themselves food.

I think you would be much better off stocking with similarly sized and tempered south american cichlids. Oscar isn't a bad idea, some more would be geophagines, acara species. For a cool oddball that won't need a bigger tank, pinktail chalceus would be a good choice. Bichirs also usually mix well with SA cichlids, though they are not from SA. I think your pacu, tigrinus, etc. are not right for your current tank size and setup.
