Are there any issues I would have ordering a Bichir from America to Canada? We’re limited for options up here but I’m worried about international law throwing my fish in airport jail.

An online tropical fish store shipping across Canada, featuring over 700 species of fish for sale. Fresh water fish, invertebrates, plants and products guaranteed to arrive alive and survive.
Get in touch with Billy at Aquarists Across Canada. He's probably already got what you're looking for, and if he doesn't, he can probably get it a lot easier than you can (shipping fish across the border from the US is a pain, which is why most places don't do it). He's based in Victoria, BC.
AFishionados in Winnipeg is another terrific source of mail order fish, especially if you are more towards the eastern end of the country. Coincidentally, they have several species of Polypterus in stock right now, far more than I have ever seen in Canada at one time.
I've had so many packages from the U.S. get caught in limbo for long periods, sometimes months, that I won't even consider trying to get live fish that way.
Yes, Spencer is good too (AFishionados). I've purchased from him many times over the years as well. I tend to forget about him now though as I do almost exclusively CA/SA cichlids, and he's never ever had much for them on his stock lists (well, some dwarf community type SA cichlids, but that's about it). He's got a ton of African cichlids usually...and lots of other non-cichlid species, I've just never paid any attention to them lol.
