At a lfs I saw sb albino silver Aros has anyone anybody ever kept these and if so how big do they get and how big of a tank do they need

I've had a bunch of Arowana over the years including albino, black and silver; never a shorty so I can't respond to your direct question but I can at least keep your question from being orphaned.

Asian Arowana breeders have been propagating genetically deficient Arowana for decades and that is the origin of the drop eye problem you see so many odd explanations for. I only buy black Arowana anymore as they're not bred to the same degree and I never have a drop eye problem w/ them, ever.

Be that as it may, the only way you can dang near guarantee drop eye and maybe some other problems would be to buy what started out as an overbred silver and then line bred to the point that offspring possessed two more significant additional genetic anomalies.

I've chosen not to support aquaculturists that knowingly breed defective fish and I highly suspect D/E at minimum within the group of short body albino Arowana.

Good luck.

I believe they can get anywhere from 16"-24" (maybe some even smaller) depending on the degree of shortness. Will probably vary with each individual fish.
