Here's a pic of a ghost shrimp arm deep in one of my hog choker's gills. I had just fed the hog chokers earthworms and I saw the shrimp really sticking his claws down in the gills. This was the first time I've noticed that behavior. Sorry for the bad pic, but I was zooming with my phone camera.
And I acknowledge that my substrate choice is an odd one (that I regret now). Part gravel (which I like the look of) and part sand (which the hog chokers like, although they can burry themselves in gravel, too).
