Sick PB please help?

Hey guys this morning when i fed my PB they were all good..

Now noticed one of them has like a popeye on one of his eyes..What could be the cause of this? he is floating around and trying to jump out the water..

Could he have been attacked by another fish or water? Please help

Is it contagious?

I have 4 other Peacock bass, fire eel,hujeta gar and a lima catfish with him in the same tank

Its a 5 foot grow out tank...Couldnt check parameters as i had to leave for work

Do a water change and add live nitrifing bacteria if your parameters are all over the place

I’m not sure why the entire community does not recommend having a few gallons of prime around at all times. I Fish in cycle with prime from day one and have never had an unhealthy fish. Aside from your water changes, add prime once a day and you will be fine

That’s the worst advice you can give another person. “Add prime once a day and you will be fine” lol yah add prime once a day if you want a bunch of dead fish by Sunday

My 15+ years experience must be an anomaly please share with me the danger you see in priming a new tank?
