So I have a 6 footlong by 22 in high by 20 or so deep 125 gallon fish tank and was wondering could I put a silver Arowana in the tank for say atleast 2 years or so or how long would it last in the tank. Also if that doesn't work I am in search of some cool odd ball fish to put in the tank No bichirs but does anyone out there have soom good ideas on what to get in the tank I am an experienced aquarist just need some help deciding things is all.

First off welcome to MFK:) I think in a year if you would have to upgrade, that is if you bought a small Silver Aro. They grow fast imo, I respect you for asking this before buying anSilver Aro on impulse. :)

125 will last till it's about 18 to 19 inches then time to upgrade it will last at least 2 years maybe less but definetly needs bigger plan ahead unlike me only tank is 125 so I'm looking right for options fast my aro was unexpected rescue still plan ahead saves time and stress

Would u suggest a puffer fish of any sort with some knife fish I just need fish of that oddball you know what I mean?

Do like polypterus also known as bichir's most members just call them poly's, look into those let me know if you like them. The only problem would be the pleco because there has been cases where the suck on the bichir because of the slime coat. The only knife I would recommend would be a Black Ghost Knife.:)

Knife fish are nice I think the South American one grows too big though so stick with black also if ur really into oddball fish I might recommend wolf fish but idk if 125 big enough I think it is from what I've heard correct me if I'm wrong
