Gotta have dither right? I think of them as more than dither, but they sure do go good w/ my other fish and can only remember ever losing 1 in the last few years.

6 to 7 inch red hooks in 240

Very cool. Those aren't thin bar? Do the bars thin out as they grow? I have some around 6" and the bars are WIDE. I like both!

Or are wide bar red hooks different than what I have... Obviously looking at them they're different. What do I have them? Picture coming.

I think they're both myleus schomburgkii, but there are thin bars and wide bars. The first ones that the op posted are thin bars, yours is a wide bar. Widebars are called emporer blue hooks because the hook turns blueish and the thin bars are emporer red hooks because they get red hooks like the ops and those hard belly pacus are mylossoma aurem.

Hmm, on the second group you mention "4 to 4.5 inch hard bellied pacus" - I have some that look just like that and didn't know they were called that. Do you know the scientific name for them?
