Slades' brigade: a celebration

After losing another favorite fish I've decided to take a different approach. This is a picture gallery of Slade's generations. One of the "big three hrps" his genetics were strong and he had a full and sexy life with hundreds of descendants. A dominant breeder with excellent parenting skills. His offspring are living reflections of that. He sired all of the "quads" (4 color offspring). The ladies always picked him first, then Mongo, then everyone else.

The SONS

SQUIGGY
Squiggy was often co-boss of the tank when Slade had 'down time' He and brother Brutus were also bodyguards for Slade. Squiggy has a total of ~50 babies.

BLACKBEARD

A fiery son who often had power struggles with Brutus when they were younger. Has excellent parenting skills, feeding his fry as well as guarding them. Blackbeard has ~80 babies.

ACE
Ace is unique in that he has no black marbling at all, only rainbow coloration. Looks like frosted glass. Only mildly aggressive. No fry.

ARROW

A late bloomer in the looks department, Arrow at one time was solid pink but developed rich rainbow pattern and marbling as an adult. No fry. He is rather aggressive and territorial.

DEUCE

This sub adult son is one of only 3 survivors of his group. He is developing beautiful color. Defers to the older males.

LUCKY

Another sub adult son and full brother to Deuce. He has only a couple of small markings and looks like frosted pink ice. He also defers to the older males.

OUTLAW BABY

Outlaw Baby survived a tank purge and is tiny, barely over an inch. He/she may be a runt. Despite appearance Outlaw Baby is a sub adult. Scampers all over the tank. OB has a black pelvic fin. He/she is the third surviving fry out of the group.

NEET

Another quad color, Neet has an amazing trait. His lips are black on one side right down the middle! Neet has ~40 babies.

BRUTUS

This behemoth of an hrp is only mildly aggressive. Brutus is the biggest member of his clan, outsizing even his jumbo cousins. He's very sociable and watches everything. A pink brick with fins. He has ~70 babies.

Outlaw Baby is one size extreme and Brutus is the other.

THE DAUGHTERS

HARLEQUIN

Harlequin is a wild beauty who had fry very young which may be why almost none of them survived. She wasn't an especially good mother, leaving the fry to Slade for protection. Occasionally she would watch them. Out of 15, only 3 survived: Outlaw Baby, Lucky, and Deuce. She's extremely aggressive and fearless. Currently she's one of the tank bosses in the all female breeder tank.
