Snail eggs?

So I was buying some snails and then I seen these things on their shells. The lady at the pet store said they are probably eggs. When. Looking it up online I don’t see anything about them putting their eggs on the shells. I watched YouTube videos and they all show them putting clusters of eggs outside of the water. So anyone ever see this and are they snail eggs?

Those are probably Nerite snail eggs that were laid on that snail's shell. They won't hatch in fresh water and may slowly dissolve eventually.

Nerite snails can live just fine in freshwater and lay eggs in freshwater but the young don't survive in freshwater as they need brackish water and need certain microscopic food to survive.

Those egg capsules were laid by another individual snail than the one carrying them. They are not individual eggs; each capsule contains multiple eggs, protected within a capsule that is attached to various surfaces. As stated, they will no successfully continue development in a freshwater tank.
