I know there are a few different species in the genus that go by this name -- wondering if anyone has any success in keeping these guys? I know they can be found in full freshwater but I predict they'd do better in brackish? Anyone with experience willing to chime in?

Pretty hard water or soft?

Gotcha. Mine is pretty damn hard here too, near Lake Michigan. I would like to try one in my 220.
