ok... i take my comment back...

i found that those pumps that you listed unless they are a mag drive arnt work a crap, mag drive on a smaller scale are the way to go, they can pass small things through them like pebbles and leaves, although i dont see anytrees in your pics... but anyway, if you do go with a shaft drive make sure it ceramic not steel, they are known to be more sutable for pond porposes.

but if its cheap you may aswell go with it... im a firm beliver of the double up method, if you could find that same pump in a 700 i woulkd say get two of those over a 1000, or even a 1400... if one fails the other is still working and your fish dont die, thats good...

if the choice is 2 pumps for $200 or one good one for $200 i would...

unfortunetly buy two $200's, you need to know when to spend money, and sometimes quality wins out.

under a bridge in fl
finished the bench.
i put six 4" lags and a few 3" screws in the bench timbers.
the plywood on the bottom is to stop any twisting.
had to take off the top timber to put two 5" lag bolts in.
then i drilled 2 holes in the top timber bigger then the socket that fits the 2 lags.
reason is if i ever want to take it off or repair i can just take off the top plate to get to them.
"there isnt enough room between the timbers to get it back out without the holes"
seems tough,held 2 people.need water to counter balance tho.lol
