start to my diy 480 gallon timber pond (not finished)

one side of the pond is bowing up so i have 5 bricks sitting on it to bring it down,hopefully.
still need to get the liner,pumps,media,media holder
then slap it together.
will keep updated

buy a 10x20 pond liner
and have them ship it to me

then go to harbor freight
buy 2-550gph pumps
then ship them to me

then i will finish for ya

no one has sent me a pond liner yet
i will guess and say in the next few weeks i will finish it "i get distracted easy" lol

its for misc. fish and my koi.
4x4s cost more then these,these were 3 bucks a piece.

Koi in a 460? Bit too small for the long run, unless you only have a few.

Hey Midnight,
Beautiful job!!! I just spent the majority of 2 hours reading all of the 217 posts. My wife keeps looking at me very weirdly. I think she is concerned that this project that I am contemplating is gonna become huge.
I really like to see your use of timbre as a frame for the liner. I am thinking of using 12x2's. I am hoping to have a (L)16'x(W)5.5'(D)4'. I would like to have 2' above and 2' below sloping down to 4.5' at its lowest point. I am planning on using treated wood. I really like your idea about using the styrafoam.
I look forward to wacthing for more up dates. By the way I plan on using a self made Bio filter using a 150 gal Rubbermaid Stock tank just as describe @ Skippysstuff.com.
