I have a group of 4 rays. 1M BD hybrid. 1F BD hybrid. 1F “super” hybrid which is brown based. 1F marbled motoro.

My question is regarding dominance of genes. Given that my male is jet black base color, when he breeds with the brown based females, will the pups more likely be black or brown based?

Anyone out in MFK land have insight & experience with hybrid strains that can enlighten me as to what to expect?

TIA 🙌🏼

Obviously ur best chance at a black base is with ur two “blk” rays. Even those two may pop out a brown base tho just the same. Motoro genes are pretty prominent. Even when breeding say a pure marble with a motoro the pups will favor the regular motoro. Id say even ur male has motoro in it based on the brown pattern. Its a craps shoot tho also. Theres always the chance for an oddball from the rest of the group. You could get 1 black base and the rest brown for example. May the odds be in your favor lol 💀🤙
