WOW.....A ray in petshop......in CA......hmmmmmm

1. buy that thing quick and take a screwy way home so you dont get followed....
or
2. Laugh at the guy and say nice try....find another guy who wants the fine for this thing.....


THEY ARE ILLEGAL!......

This no one will ship to anyone in that state!

don't know the name.. kinda like motoro but with blue circles and it's saltwater.. it was around $89 or $99 forgot, its a beauty! :grinyes: why are they illegal... hope our governor will lift that ban. seems some have had them give birth in other state and still they ban it? :screwy: their not endangered right? do you mean if i accidentally ordered them they will not ship to CA? :screwy:

Saltwater rays, like that blue-spot ray you saw, are not illegal in CA. All freshwater (riverine) rays are illegal in CA.

(There's a statutory list too, but the one from the regulations is more complete. The statutes only contain the original list, whereas the regulations also include all species added by the Commission.)

**NOTE** Permits are only issued to aquaculture centers, institutions, and public aquaria after inspections are completed of the holding facilities. No hobbyist permits are available.

wow! :WHOA: what a list, tried to find it on CAs website for stingray legality, and never had the luck. does that mean i need to buy saltwater rays... never mind.. im not gonna waste my time to think about it. kinda cool to have several rays in a large aquarium. :) but... i'd rather be safe than sorry. thanks guys! :headbang2

saw some tilapia names their... if you go to a chinese restarant you can order tilapia :grinno: :grinno: :grinno: maybe were eating illegal tilapias :grinyes: :grinyes: :grinyes:
