We have a 35 gallon hexagon tank about 2 feet tall and about 18 inchs from side to side. What would be good to stock this with? nothing like guppies, mollies, etc.

What do you exactly have in mind? I see it as a shrimp or snail tank considering the dimensions.:D

Any other cichlids

I had one of those. It would be good for angel fish or maybe
Discus.
I wouldnt keep discus in there. You'd be pushing it with angels once they start to get to 4" body size.

If it were me id go with some dwarf cichlids, a nice group of quality, cardinal tetra or rummynoses with a nice shoal of corydoras a nice species say, arcuatus, sterbai, punctatus.

And overfilter.

Thats what i'd do.

African Brown Knife?
Hex tanks are not exactly spacious for the knives. No, I would not recommend it either. Hex tanks really suck in my opinion. Too limited space and options.

Yes, those could work. I just would never own a hex tank due to limited options.:)

it is filtered with a Marineland H.o.t magnum
