Hello everyone,

Okay, so running a well established 225g tank, medium fish stock with mostly easily kept soft corals; 260lbs LR.

My current sump is fairly bare, and nicely clouds the water with microbubbles, at least i assume they are... but water never seems to be crystal clear (not running any carbon currently).

Here are my ideas for the new sump i would like to put together very soon!!
This will be my first refugium and bubble trap that i put together, so any positive criticism would be appreciated.

Anyone see anything wrong here? or something that could use improvement?
Please share the knowledge,

thanks for the input. :):):):):)

I am in the process of building my first sump as well, but I would ditch the sand in the sump.

Its just going to be a place for waste to accumulate...even if it is just dieoff from the rocks and the chaeto.

I hate to be the one to always argue your dislike of DSBs...

I say keep the sand. Throw 20 nassarius snails in there and let them take care of the "waste". I think that DSBs are great for a healthy bio system.
