has anyone here every heard of it or used it? is it a good buy. reaaly need something else besides a classic whisper hob filter.

Works really good, been using it for about a year now never had cloudy water at all. Only complain is the flow could be stronger but I'll using it for a 100 gallon tank...

there alright. especially for the price i use one on a 40gallon tank.

What your looking at is basicly a cheap chinese knock off filter whos best design feature is to make money, Parts will be hard to come by and these companies change names and go out of buissness every few months it seems so support is also a joke. Quality control is poor at best so while you might get an acceptable filter....your more likely to have problems.

The price really isn't that great IMO to put up with all of the negitives, Shop sales and pick up a Rena xp series or find a better filter on line used...

UV sterilizers sound like a good idea but in reality what they filter out most of all is money out of your wallet. they cost a lot to run and the bulbs...especially on the bargan units....need replaced with disterbing frequancy at a higher price than youd like so most of them are ignored long after they are no longer effective.

A Fluval 305 is in the same price range...much better built...has a LOT more flow....available parts...and is built by a company that will still be around in 30 years.

I like putting half the bio first then half last. Extra bio, extra mech, and when you clean the super coarse mech media you still have viable cultures on your other half. Just my .02
