I used to use the pool solar covers when I was a kid. Iv even used contractor bags. But then again when I was a kid the biggest pond I made was probably 150gallons.

I'm guessing it won't work for long due to the lack of thickness. Also, don't they have germicides in them to prevent mold?

It can work as a temp pond, but you realize it's only gong to be 2ft wide x 2 ft deep right?

Real easy to punch a hole in.

Get a roll of 4mil visqueen ( http://www.visqueenbuilding.co.uk/ ) 10' x 50' and double it. Cheap pond.
