I fly to Kiev for the holidays and of course, I had to take some more photos of the the local supermarket fish. These are the usual suspects: farmed carp, sturgeon, and rainbow trout. You see these 3 species the most. However, I have also seen other live fish in there: wild goldfish (crussian carp), asian carp, channel catfish, live European crayfish (Astacus astacus), live Northern Pike (Esox lucius), and even small European Wels Catfish (Silurus glanis)

Would you happen to know the US dollar value for those sturgeons at that market?

Good question.I wasn't aware that they were even eaten.

they dont sell them where you live? you can usually buy sturgeon meat in lots of places
Not a food fish in the US. I've never even seen them at the Chinese super market here.

How do they taste? Do you like it?

The very well might somewhere but I have not noticed. When I buy my fish I mostly stick with my local supermarket and I don't recall ever seeing it there.
