Swollen anal fin

Hello,

today I noticed my female polli has a darkened and swollen anal fin.I do have assassin snails in my tank and am wondering if this is an impaction. I have noticed her arch her tail up (kinda making a banana shape) multiple times this evening. Any advice would be much appreciated. I plan on taking her to the vet, but am wondering if this is urgent.Thank you.

My del had similar symptoms,i don't what it was though. (Couldn't keep tail down because it kept arching up and a swollen/bloody anal fin) mine also got bloated before dying so maybe it's something different to what you're experiencing.

Sometimes my female Senegal when gravid will have swelling in that area.

Don’t think it’s a health issue. It looks like a hard on if it’s a male or an aching scenario if it’s a female.

sorry for the loss of your del. I have also lost a del. Incredibly sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your experience though. Thankfully today Macaroni ( the polli) is less swollen and red. Earlier today I called the vet and am waiting to hear back.
