Hi I have a GSP in a 34 gal tank with a few ghost shrimp and I was wondering if I could add any other tank mates. Would it be ok to add two to three bumble bee gobies? I wish I could add one more puffer but I think the tank is too small to do that. Any ideas? :)

It will be interesting to me to hear the feedback..my opinion is that the gobys would be killed by the puffer... puffers are just so aggressive..but i could be wrong.. i have two puffer figure 8's.. alone.. i hope they do alright together long term

you could house more puffers!?! the problem is puffers are lil' sh*ts. Big fish get harassed and nipped constantly by them and little fish get bullied or eaten. There's nothing that goes well with puffers...maybe a dragon goby? It'll have to be brackish at any rate...a freshwater lionfish would work but I'd be afraid he'd try and kill the puffers...its a mixed bag. it's pretty much "PUFFERS AND MORE PUFFERS" for you...

30 gal is really only good for a single puffer the gobies are hiders and may survive ive heard the sucess of keeping them together but not from personal expierience. Unfurtunetly the ghost shrimp will soon be picked off by the GSP. IMO I would turn that tank into a planted tank and add several water snails along with the gobies that way your GSP has something to keep him busy while the gobies find hiding and get used to their surroundings good luck

Yeah I really wish I could keep one more puffer with him but I've heard that GSP's should have 30 gallons per puffer and surly no less than 20 gals per GSP. I wish I could keep one figure 8 with him as they can be kept in a 15-10 gal. But I fear that my tank is too small for more puffers. Has anyone ever kept a figure 8 puffer and a GSP togther? I heard people have had sucess with keeping them togther. How big of a tank would the two need?
I think my puffer is alot more "nicer" than most puffers, I haven't seen him eat a ghost shrimp yet and when I tried to keep a dalmation molly with him the molly picked on him and I had to move it to another tank.
If I do try bumble bee gobies how many gals do they need? Thanks

I kept a green spotter puffer with bee goby in 26 gallon tank, any problem, the puffer fish grow very quickly, the water conditions are similar for GSP and bee goby. good lucky.

puffers are very unpredictable i had green spotted puffers with bumble bee gobies and sailfin mollys, they never bothered the gobies at all but one day as i was watching one of the puffers just decided to eat a big female molly ,strange thing is they never bothered with any of the other mollys after that.

wow that's crazy, guess the puffer didn't like the taste of the molly. ;) How many gsp's, molly's and gobies did you have together and how many gals was the tank? I wish I could have two puffers together, but I guess I would need a bigger tank.
