Tanking slurry to seal a pond ?

Hi I am building a block and concreate pond as my current one is now too small. Was thinking about using K.A. tanking slurry to water proof it as I hate doing fiber glassing. This method has worked well on some small ponds I have done. Has anyone had any problems using tanking slurry that could be avoided? Also has anyone used it successfully ?
If this does fail can I fiber glass over tanking ?

Spoke to tech guy at k.a. he said wont fail as even if structure cracks ka is "self healing", said its used in water tanks, lakes canals fish ponds ......... the only time it fails is when its used wrongly. He also said fiberglass would take to it if needed, but it wont be so time will tell.
