situation. . .
I'm getting a 180gal in a couple months for my other New World cichlids. Usual guys. . . . . oscars, jacks, texas, firemouths, but in low populations and with lots of cover. Now. . . I know the peacock will get big enough eventually to eat most of the afformentioned species. That I'm prepared for. But how well do peacocks hold up to the stress of community cichlid tank life? Mine is only about 4'' now so I was planning on moving it into my 58gal to grow out before I even thought about putting it in the new tank with the big boys. How well do you think he would stand up to adult oscars if he was 12'' or so? I 've raised him from almost frysize and I've kept him alone for the most part >(only with plecos) so I really don't wanna lose him, esp now his color is coming in
thx

p.s. I know he will outgrow the 180. I knew that when I bought him. He's my excuse to build something 1000+ and then use the 180 to grow out an arowana
