Texas hybrid?

Looks like an emaciated blue carpintis to me. Fatten him up!

I just picked him up, so he'll bulk up shortly. I do think his mouth/jaw isn't as pointy as a carpintis is in general..?

Also, he was sold as a red Texas, lol, and seperate from the tank of green carpintis fish. He was by himself. It's definitely not a red Texas (or super low grade), but something in the body structure (besides being malnourished) looks different to me... And they were asking twice as much as the "regular" carpintis.

If it was sold as an RT, it probably is. Lots of lower quality unfaded RT’s out there. I would personally start by deworming it.
