Texas hybrid?

I just picked him up, so he'll bulk up shortly. I do think his mouth/jaw isn't as pointy as a carpintis is in general..?

Also, he was sold as a red Texas, lol, and seperate from the tank of green carpintis fish. He was by himself. It's definitely not a red Texas (or super low grade), but something in the body structure (besides being malnourished) looks different to me... 🤷🏻‍♂️ And they were asking twice as much as the "regular" carpintis.

If it was sold as an RT, it probably is. Lots of lower quality unfaded RT’s out there. I would personally start by deworming it.
