The Big Shark Guys

Hey everyone,

Wanted to get a list of the "big shark guys" - the guys who have real experience with real sharks. This is for the book/website project I am working on. The only exception on the list is Ken - aka "krj-something". He doesn't have a lot of experience with real sharks, but he's got some good knowledge to him. The list so far is:

Zoodiver - currently don't have any information for him

Mattiej - currently don't have any information, however have emailed his place of work that was listed on RC, hopefully I can get a reply

Jabba - have no information so far

Ken - actually have no information for him, but he's actively posting on SRC

Chris/Crumbs - have an email and phone #

Turbo/Josh - have an email and phone #

Alprazo - no information yet, he seems to be a relatively active poster on RC though

Ppoeschel - no information yet

Blacktip17 - have an email address, hopefully will get a phone number shortly

Anyone I forgot to add to the list? I don't need to bother anyone with finding contact information, so don't worry about tracking down these people for me - of course if you've got something lying around, please do share it. But don't go out of your way to find it. Just checking to see if there's anyone else online who's got lots of experience with marine sharks/rays. Thanks!

I have found everyone on the list is active on at least one forum... some fish related some not. Except for Zoodiver, I contacted Miami Seaquarium though for that

Yeah, he seems to have been active a while back, about a year or so. I have contacted Miami Seaquarium (the place where he works, or at least last said he worked) to see if I could get his email address or something.

Turbo and Jabba were pretty active back then too. I found Turbo's store and contacted him through that, but Mattiej is going to be the tough one. I found an email address and a MSN group for him - both of which are no longer up.

I guess you can count me in, I worked at a store that had Blacktip reefs, Port Jacksons, and Banded Catsharks. I have other experiences dealing w/ them in the wild - mainly Silkys, Bulls, Nurse, Sandbars......sharks common to the east coast along w/ Stingrays and Skates.
By NO MEANS an expert but I can try to help the best I can if you want

they're not big sharks but wednesday13 had a couple coral cats last i heard. might also want to try Griseum over at RC (i think he's here under a diff username aswel).

OH yeah, forgot about Griseum - definitely going to contact him. I remember seeing something about wednesday13's sharks, I don't want too many people collaborating on the website so I don't know if I'll ask him to do that or not, but I definitely will put something up about his system. Thanks for the recommendation! I am looking around for Emi as well (she disappeared from the internet a long time ago, going to be tough lol)
