I picked up a 36 gallon bow front at a very inexpensive price. I am trying to decide what I should use due to the height of the tank. I'm concerned that I might not get the flow necessary. Any thoughts?

I filter my 36 gallon bowfront tank with an Emperor 280. Provides good flow. You could also use an AquaClear70 to filter the tank. Either filter will work if you want to use a HOB filter.

I have a fluval 405 on mine and its always crystal clear.

It will be fine, I started with a 205 and it was enough. Only switched to the 405 because I had it laying paying a collecting dust.
