Hey guys!

I have heard of the amazon puffer that stays quite small and is the best choice for community tanks. They are also freshwater. Is this true?

I have my 4ft 90gallon tank and would it be possible to add a couple to my tank?

I have now, 2 ropefish, 2 sen bichirs, 1 african knife, 1 baby spiny eel and a baby bushfish. Can they all coexist peacefully.

See I mostly have bottom dwellers so it would be nice to add some activity in the higher regions of the tank.

Your title says SAP but your body says Amazon Puffer.

Can you use the latin name of the one you mean?

Colomesus asellus?
Tetraodon schoutedeni?

How big are your bichirs? Which spiny eel?

Tetradon Schoutedeni is not Amazon puffer it's from Congo River in Africa. But that would be the geographical choice. Also friendly mostly. Mine is in with some barbs and corys atm. No issues.
But either way depending on each individuals temperament.
Also saps have very fast tooth growth a diet of snails is deffinately needed. I would also worry as size wise with some of your other fish ie Bush fish.

To me this is one of the biggest concerns. Like twentyleagues twentyleagues said very fast tooth growth rate. Be prepared for learning how to trim teeth just in case. Plus the raising snails thing seemed like a pain. These are reasons I went with lurker puffers, no teeth issues and no snails needed. Of course their downfall is that they are highly predatory and not community friendly.
