Thinking of getting rid of my haps and peacocks. What should I do next?

I've had haps and peacocks for probably 12 years or so. I'm thinking its time for something else. I'm looking for suggestions for possibly SA or CA. I would like to try to find something that would fit with my polleni that's been living mostly peaceful with the malawians for the last 1.5 years. He's roughly 6". I also have 2 spotted silver dollars I would like to make into a larger group.

Tank size is a standard 125, with an fx5, fx6, and Rena xp3.

My only new world experience is with a group of Thorichthys ellioti that pretty much killed each other at about 2.5", a few angels, and the single eba I have now.

Since you are basing the tank around the polleni (a Madagascan) why not do a Malagasy biotope.
Madagascar rainbow(Betotia geayii) (if you can get them large enough not to be eaten by the pollen) make great dithers.
And in a 125, some of the smaller Damba species such a kieneri, work well.

Above Paretroplus maculatus with Paratilapia, below Paretroplus kieneri

Kieneri would be size appropriate for a 125, some of the other Damba like maculatus might outgrow it after 3 years or so
maculatus below

The Paretroplines are consummate snail eaters

There is also the genus Ptychochromis from Madagascar to select from

Pt sp "tarantsy" above
I have seen many of the above available on Daves Rare fish list, or Exotic Tropicals of Florida
