Anyone know their growth rate?

They grow moderately fast, and they are gluttonous eaters lol

Here is a pic of mine, raised it from a little over 3 inches, always the first to come up to the front looking for food

Mine took about 3 years to go from 1-2" juvies below

to the 6-7" adults below

at 7" they matured, began what appeared to be spawning preparations, and subtly started killing each other, I believe my 150gal 6ft tank was too small.

My experiences are similar to Duane's. They co-exist relatively well until they hit maturity, then they are vicious on one another.

I`ve had mine for about 10 months now and he went from a 1.5" baby to about 4.5"-5" right now.

so expect to get to about 5" in a year, maybe 6. they do eat gluttonously and their growth rate seems to slow down around the 4" mark in my opinion
