Thanks I really like the achara I hope my red tail and shovel noses can catch up to him soon.
yes that is a 4 line pim (pimelodus blochii) I bought him from a shop two months ago for 20$ and he was about 10" the biggest I've ever seen so he's probably 11" now since he's in a bigger tank/pond and he's still very active. I'm not sure if he will get any bigger 10" is usually max in a tank, has anyone seen one bigger than a foot?

My sixteen year old Pim blochi is right at a foot and has been for a few years so I would presume that is about max for them.

Looking good, Tim!

My biggest 4-line was about 14". Bought as such from Pets Plus in Lockport, NY. No evidence I can provide, sorry. It lived in a dark pond.

12" max is SL standard length, that is not counting the caudal fin.

Is that a 300 gallon tub?
Yes it is a 300 gallon rubbermaid stock tank. I added a new canister filter yesterday after the water change so now the water looks much better just need a UV filter to make it not so green. before the canister filter it only had a 30gallon overflow sump and 4 large sponge filters.
