For the record they look like G. altifrons not surinamensis.

With that said they are gorgeous fish and among my favorites!

i had an id thread on them a while ago and no one came to my aid so im stuck to believe that they are surinamensis, what i bought them as.

I can almost guarantee you 100% that they are not surinamensis but rather altifrons. Surinamensis is the catch-all name that importers, wholesalers and retailers use when they can't identify the exact species. For what it's worth. You can call them what you like as they will be gorgeous regardless.
