Australoheros sp. "red ceibal" wild pair spawned a couple of weeks ago but ate all the eggs, then started beating on another pair. So I moved them to a 20g...they promptly dug a big pit and spawned again...

need tips on how to prevent them from eating the eggs again :nilly:

Cichlasoma dimerus wild pair spawned three times in a month and about to do it again soon. Male is just blue but the female is actually quite colorful.

Baby Heros notatus from Jeff are having a growth spurt. The earthworm was for a NGT in the tank but these little guys were too quick!

Uaru sp. "orange" (kind gifts from Ryan) are eating like pigs and growing fast.

nice peter! i've said it before, you need a pike

I may make some big changes with my tanks in the next few weeks (tanks, not fish:naughty:), after which I'll have plenty of room for pikes :D

Thanks! Matt mentioned that these guys are a little tricky. - they lose interest if there's no threat, but if they think the "danger" is too imminent they'll eat the eggs. Need to find a sweet spot...

You go Sean! I agree, want to as well. Great shots Peter! Love the flagtail too. Just spent a couple hours reading through VLDesigns 1,500 gal after he posted pics of his 14".

your flagtail does look like it's coloring up nicely. notice any growth? it seems like mine is never growing but im sure it is. mine take big crap bombs like that too. saw him bomb the datnoid last night rotfl. mine is starting to loose the black spots on its body

did you order those geos yet?

also, how are your "Zanja Honda" doing? breeding yet?

I think it grew quite a bit....eating a lot...the other one I got at the same time didn't learn to eat in time and died :(

He's sorting out some shipping supplies...shhhhhh ;)

One of the four "Zanja Honda" got killed by the dimerus....I figured I should let them go...so they are living with Matt now. Hope to get some fry back from him at some point :)
