Using Leveling feet on a DIY 55g Stand

Well, it took me a bit longer to get around to it, but here's pictures.

That's just one of these

hanger bolts with the screw end going into the actual stand. You're able to move the part of the stand holding the tank up and down by turning the washer. You can do it when its full with a pair of vice grips, but what I did was only fill the tank up with like an inch of water and used that to level the stand. It was pretty easy with that little of water in it.
You'd only need one washer if, unlike me, you drill the holes in the foot part small enough. I gave some wiggle room incase they didn't line up exactly right though.

Excuse the mess as I'm currently building my sump, but there's a picture of the whole bottom. I said 8 but I actually have 6 screws; one in each corner, then one in the middle of the longer pieces. I hope that helps anyone who had questions. I used the corners to level the tank first, then the middle ones I just set up to wherever the corners ended up being.

Wow, I like that idea with the hanger bolts and it should help spread out the weight much more than the little feet. I'll have to bookmark this for my upcoming build. Shimming should work, but like yourself I sometimes like to overcomplicate/overengineer things.

I know this thread is a couple of months old but I still hope it is ok to ask ...... I'm just a wee bit confused about using the hanger bolts:

'to raise or lower the stand frame from the bottom frame that actually sits on the floor, one turns the hexagonal nut.'

Would I be correct with that assumption?
