I was just wondering what do you guys do to feed your eels when your away for vacation and stuff if they only eat mostly live and hand fed foods?

Good question, I just recently acquired a fire eel and tire track both about 10 inches and they only seem to be eating worms...how big are yours and what are you feeding them

I dont have any yet, I'm probly getting a 75 gallon tank soon and was considering maybe a tire track but I dont have any one that lives near me that could feed it if they only hand feed or eat live foods.

it depends, if it something like a week, they could definitely take it well without eating, maybe have a large meal/large WC before leaving

Don't worry about vacation.Just change 20% of water before, put more live ghost shrimp (30 or 40 per eel or moray eel),add 50 small fish live, put the light with the timer in plug and set up to stop in the night and start in the morning the light .Keep the air filter on,be sure the aquarium have a tight cover and is not a problem, you can enjoy the 5 or 7 days vacation.

Well an automatic feeder is easy to use but some GS could work but no live fish as they aren't good for your eel's and they'll eventually die :grinyes:

would stay away from an automatic feeder with eels since most of their food is either live or frozen food that would go bad, so wouldn't be a reasonable option
